Another 16 organizers of russia’s sham referendums declared suspects
The SSU continues to document the unlawful actions of organizers and participants of fake referendums in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories.
The SSU notified the following ‘officials’ from Donetsk region of suspicion:
- Denys PUSHYLIN, ‘head of the dnr’;
- Volodymyr BIDYOVKA, ‘chairman of the dnr people’s council’;
- Olena RADOMSKA, ‘secretary of the dnr central election commission’.
In the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia oblast, the SSU notified of suspicion:
- Yevhen BALYTSKYI, ‘head of Zaporizhzhia region military and civil administration’;
- Halyna DANYLCHENKO, ‘acting mayor’ of Melitopol;
- Oleksandr SAULENKO, ‘head of Berdiansk military and civil administration’;
- Halyna KATYUSHCHENKO, ‘head of the central election commission’ of Zaporizhzhia region;
- Andriy SIGUTA, ‘head of Melitopol district military and civil administration’.
- Maksym ZUBAREV, ‘head of Yakymivka community of Melitopol district’.
The ‘officials’ from the temporarily occupied part of Kherson oblast, notified of suspicion by the SSU, include:
- Volodymyr SALDO, ‘head of Kherson region military and civil administration’;
- Kyryl STREMOUSOV, ‘deputy head of Kherson region military and civil administration’;
- Maryna ZAKHAROVA, ‘head of the central election commission’ of Kherson region;
- Olha KULYK, ‘head of Henichesk district territorial election commission’;
- Tamara MIROSHNYCHENKO, ‘head of Beryslav district territorial election commission’;
- Olena SAYAKHOVA, ‘head of Kakhovka district temporary election commission’;
- Lyudmyla KOZLOVA, ‘head of Skadovsk district temporary election commission’.
The SSU suspects these persons of committing a criminal offence under Articles 28.2 and 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration).
The investigation established that these collaborators, with support of the russian armed forces and representatives of the aggressor state, conducted a number of activities to prepare and organize the unlawful referendums, in particular they:
- created territorial polling stations for pseudo-voting;
- formed fake territorial and polling station commissions;
- informed residents about preparation and holding of the ‘referendum’;
- compiled preliminary lists of ‘plebiscite’ participants;
- developed and approved the form and text of ‘ballots’ for voting at sham referendums, ordered their production and delivery for voting;
- ensured funding for the preparation and holding of the ‘referendum’, etc.
The SSU warns: punishment for crimes against Ukraine’s state security is inevitable.
Investigators of the SSU Offices in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk regions are conducting the pre-trial investigation under the procedural supervision of regional prosecutor’s offices.
