SSU conducts command and staff training on countering cyberterrorism
The Security Service of Ukraine conducted command and staff training on countering cyberterrorism. In particular, SSU cyber experts together with their colleagues from other sectors practiced joint actions in response to a coordinated cyberattack on critical infrastructure facilities of our country by the enemy.
“The aggressor state constantly attacks our country in cyberspace. In 2025 alone, SSU specialists repelled more than 2,300 enemy cyberattacks. We have taken significant steps to strengthen cyber resilience and are constantly improving our skills,” said SSU Deputy Head Brigadier General Serhii Naumiuk.
This was the first cybersecurity event of this kind in Ukraine, which, in addition to command and staff cyber training, also included panel discussions during which participants focused on current challenges in the field of cyber security and how to respond to them effectively.
The forum brought together representatives of the public and private sectors, the defense sector and the scientific and expert community.
"Cyber threats exist constantly, because the enemy has evolved from local cyber attacks to complex campaigns with significant consequences for society. That is why such command and staff, tactical and special trainings are needed. This allows us to test the readiness of all systems to respond and establish cooperation between different sectors. After all, how stable Ukraine will be tomorrow depends on our collective preparation today," concluded Volodymyr Karasteliov, Head of the SSU Cyber Security Department.
