SSU conducts military drills near belarus: units rehearse detention of enemy sabotage group at energy facility (video)
The SSU has held large-scale counter-sabotage training in the border areas of Rivne region. During the event, the Defence Forces practiced neutralizing enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups, which, according to the scenario, tried to break through the northern border.
According to the plan of the training, one enemy subversive and reconnaissance group tried to break through into the city, and another one - took hostage the head and chief engineer of an energy facility, as well as their families.
Using psychological pressure and threats of physical violence, ‘attackers’ try to force the ‘victims’ to cooperate with the enemy.
In this way, ‘saboteurs’ attempt to rearrange the activity of the local critical infrastructure facility in favor of the aggressor state.
The law enforcement agencies with the involvement of the SSU Special Operations Centre ‘A’ neutralized the ‘enemy groups’, liberated ‘hostages’ and prevented a possible technological disaster.
Tactical and special measures were carried out in conditions as close to real as possible.
The units of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police, the State Emergency Service, the National Guard, executive authorities and local government bodies took part in the exercise.
According to the assessment of the coordination group, participants of the training have comprehensively practiced algorithms of interagency cooperation to prevent possible sabotage in the border areas in the north-west of Ukraine.
