SSU to reveal details of its unique special operations in a documentary series (video)
The Security Service of Ukraine will reveal previously unknown details of its high-profile special operations that change the course of the war in a series of documentaries SSU. Special Operations of Victory. Each of the five episodes, to be broadcast on 1+1 Ukraine TV channel and the national telethon United News, will be dedicated to a specific part of the battle for our Homeland.
The episode Crimean Bridge Encore opens the series. In it, SSU experts will tell how the unique SeaBaby surface drones were developed and used to hit the bridge pylons. This Friday, November 24, at 21:40, viewers will be able to see exclusive documentary footage of the special operation that complicated the occupiers’ military logistics in the Crimea.
‘We’ve destroyed the myth about russia’s invincibility. There are many surprises to come,’ says the SSU Head Vasyl Maliuk in the documentary.
The next episode is Bakhmut. The Road of Life. This fortress city was the hottest spot on the frontline. During night raids, SSU snipers killed ‘Wagner’ mercenaries to help the AFU hold the key logistics artery to the city, known as the Road of Life.
The episode Universal Agents. De-occupation will focus on the liberation of Kyiv region from russian invaders. In this part, we’ll tell about the activities of an agent and partisan network formed by the SSU and the rescue of the residents of occupied Ivankiv.
Another film, Enemy’s Lair. Elimination, will tell how, in the first month of the full-scale war, SSU special forces helped to identify and destroy the enemy’s rear command post in Polissia. This particular facility played an important role for the invaders in their plans to capture Kyiv. As a result of the operation, the occupying officers were eliminated, and a large amount of weapons and fuel was destroyed.
A separate film will be dedicated to the combat medical wing of the SSU Special Operations Centre ‘A’. Combat Medics. Death Will Wait is an episode about the surgeons of the Service’s special purpose unit who bring wounded soldiers back to life near the front line. And all this – in extremely difficult conditions.
The filming of the series began in May 2023 by the 1+1 Production team. This is one of the channel’s many patriotic projects about the fight of the Ukrainian people against the aggressor and, in particular, about the contribution of the SSU as a part of the Defence Forces to Our Victory.
