SSU and Defence Forces strike Novorossiysk naval base, missile warships and key infrastructure targets

On the night of 9 September 2026, the SSU Alfa Special Operations Centre, together with the Ukrainian Defence Forces (including the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Ukrainian Navy, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service), hit several key military and infrastructure sites in the Novorossiysk area of the Krasnodar krai, russia.

In particular, the following targets were successfully struck:

  • the Novorossiysk naval base and military harbour facilities;
  • several ships of the russian Black sea fleet carrying Kalibr cruise missiles;
  • fuel oil storage facilities;
  • the infrastructure of the Sheskharis terminal, which is used for oil shipments.

Fires were reported at the naval base and the fuel oil terminal. Explosions have also been confirmed in areas where ships are based.

The Security Service of Ukraine and the Defence Forces will continue to work together to degrade the aggressor state’s military capabilities. russian military installations supporting the war against Ukraine will remain priority targets.
