SBU detained a perpetrator who threatened to explode in Universal Bank located Leonardo Business Centre and investigates the criminal proceeding on terrorist act. This was announced by the SBU representative Serhii Pun during his interview.

“Urgent investigative actions are ongoing. The motives of the crime and possible accomplices of the terrorist are being established,” he added. 

We remind that officers of the Centre of Special Operation “A” detained the citizen of Uzbekistan who took hostage and threatened to explode in a department of Universal Bank in Leonardo Business Centre. 

The leadership of the SBU Main Department in Kyiv and Kyiv region promptly launched the special operation “Boomerang”.  SBU and police officers deployed the operational headquarters in the field.  

The law enforcement officers evacuated the employees from the centre and fenced off the surrounding area in order to carry out counter-terrorism actions safely. In the result of comprehensive operative actions the man was arrested.
