On 18 September, repatriation was carried out to bring to Ukraine the bodies of fallen servicemen who defended the country in Kursk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The bodies have been returned due to the efforts of the Joint Centre for Coordination of Search and Liberation of Prisoners of War under the SSU, the Central Civil and Military Cooperation Directorate, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the MoD Main Intelligence Directorate, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons, the State Emergency Service, the State Border Guard Service and other entities of the Security and Defence Sector of Ukraine.

In the near future, investigators, together with the MIA’s expert institutions, will conduct all necessary examinations and ensure the identification of the repatriated bodies.
