SSU strikes FPV drone production facility and UAV depots near Taganrog

During the night of 12 September, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted an operation in the Taganrog area of russia’s Rostov region. The operation involved striking several key russian military installations.

Drones operated by the SSU’s Alfa Special Operations Centre successfully targeted the following:

  • two UAV storage depots;
  • an FPV drone production facility;
  • a Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile and gun system;
  • a fuel and lubricants storage tank;
  • a P-18 Terek radar station.

Fires were reported at all the targeted sites.

Destroying production and storage facilities for UAVs and FPV drones degrades the ability of russian forces to use them against Ukraine. This is a direct response to russia’s massive attacks, during which the enemy deploys strike drones to instill terror and carry out strikes on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
