SSU, jointly with Security and Defence Forces, organise another repatriation of Ukraine’s fallen defenders
As part of the latest repatriation efforts, 528 bodies (remains) of fallen Ukrainian defenders have been returned to Ukraine.
The return of the fallen was the result of joint and coordinated efforts by the Joint Centre for Coordination of Search and Release of Prisoners of War at the Security Service of Ukraine, Central Directorate of Civil-Military Cooperation of the AFU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons Missing under Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and other components of Ukraine’s security and defence sector.
Behind each such repatriation lies complex interagency work aimed at ensuring that Ukraine’s fallen defenders are returned home and their families are given the opportunity to bid a dignified farewell to their loved ones.
In the near future, law enforcement investigators, together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will conduct the necessary examinations and ensure the identification of the repatriated remains.
The Security Service of Ukraine, together with other state agencies, continues its work to return the remains of Ukraine’s fallen defenders.
Eternal memory to the fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
