SSU and other components of Defence Forces repatriate remains of Ukraine’s fallen defenders

As part of the latest repatriation efforts, the remains of 261 of Ukraine’s fallen defenders have been returned to Ukraine.

This was made possible through the joint and coordinated efforts of the Joint Centre for the Coordination of the Search for and Liberation of Prisoners of War at the Security Service of Ukraine, the Central Directorate for Civil-Military Cooperation of the AFU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and other components of Ukraine’s security and defence sector.

Every repatriation involves complex inter-agency work to ensure that Ukraine’s fallen defenders are returned home, giving their families the opportunity to bid a dignified farewell to their loved ones.

In the near future, investigators from law enforcement agencies, together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will carry out the necessary examinations to identify the remains.

The Security Service of Ukraine continues its work with other state institutions to repatriate the remains of Ukraine’s fallen defenders.

May Ukraine’s fallen defenders rest in peace!
