SSU and Defence Forces conduct repatriation of Ukrainian fallen defenders
As part of the latest repatriation, the remains of 252 of Ukraine’s fallen defenders have been returned to the country.
This was carried out due to the efforts of the SSU Joint Centre for the Coordination of Search for and Liberation of Prisoners of War, the Coordination Staff, the Central Directorate for Civil-Military Cooperation of the AFU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and other entities of the security and defence sector.
Every repatriation involves complex inter-agency work to ensure that Ukraine’s fallen service personnel are returned home, giving their families the opportunity to bid a dignified farewell to their loved ones.
In the near future, investigators, together with MIA expert units, will carry out the necessary examinations for identification.
The Security Service of Ukraine continues its work with other state institutions to conduct repatriations.
Eternal glory and memory to the fallen defenders of Ukraine!
