SSU and NATO step up cooperation in cybersecurity: threat monitoring systems integrated

The Security Service of Ukraine has joined NATO’s cyber threat intelligence sharing platform.

It is called the Multinational Malware Information Sharing Platform (MN MISP) and has been developed by the Alliance since 2012.

The SSU created an analogue of this platform in Ukraine in 2018, and now MISP-UA is an effective national tool for joint response to cyber threats. The platform includes nearly 1,300 representatives of critical infrastructure, government and military resources that could be targeted by the enemy’s hackers.

In the conditions of Russia’s hybrid aggression, MISP-UA users daily, in online mode, receive cyber threat indicators based on the results of the SSU’s investigations, and also have the opportunity to share their own information with the closed community.

Combining NATO and SSU platforms will make defence of domestic cyberspace from aggressors even more effective.
