SSU and National Police award teenagers from Kryvyi Rih who informed law enforcement about FSB’s recruitment attempts
The Security Service and the National Police have awarded two teenagers from Dnipropetrovsk region who refused to work for the FSB and informed Ukrainian law enforcement agencies about an attempt by the russian special services to recruit them.
The award ceremony took place as part of an All-Ukrainian information campaign Burn the FSB-man. The two teenagers, aged 14 and 17, are residents of Kryvyi Rih; the occupiers tried to recruit them to carry out sabotage in the region.
On russia’s orders, the minors were supposed to set fire to Defense Forces vehicles in exchange for ‘easy money’ from the aggressor state. They received such ‘offers’ from the FSB separately in messenger apps and on social media.
The russian special service also sent them detailed instructions on how to commit arson using flammable mixtures.
However, the teenagers did not succumb to the FSB’s provocations and immediately reported this to Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
Thanks to this, the Security Service and the National Police were able to document the enemy’s subversive activities timely, identify the russians behind the recruitment attempts and block them.
Since the start of 2024, the SSU and the police have detained over 600 persons who helped russia carry out sabotage and terrorist attacks in Ukraine. Instead of the promised ‘quick money’ from the occupiers, their accomplices received suspicion notices and the prospect of imprisonment.
