SSU and National Police establish: March 11 terrorist attack in Ivano-Frankivsk – organized by russia, enemy blew up its agents (video)
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have established the circumstances and perpetrators of the terrorist attack in downtown Ivano-Frankivsk on March 11 this year.
In the evening of that day, the russian special service blew up two of its own agents who were carrying an improvised explosive device near the railway station.
According to the investigation, the enemy’s accomplices are two local minors aged 15 and 17 recruited by russia through Telegram channels offering ‘easy money’.
As a result of the incident, the 17-year-old died on the spot, and his 15-year-old accomplice was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The teenagers studied at colleges and were friends.
In exchange for a promise of money from russia, they followed their russian handler’s instructions and made an improvised explosive and two IEDs disguised as thermoses.
For secrecy, the minors did this in an apartment rented for the handler’s money in a high-rise building near the railway station.
They equipped both bombs with detonators with a remote detonation function and metal nuts as additional striking elements.
After that, following the enemy orders, the perpetrators put both explosive devices on alert.
Around 18:30 on March 11, they were heading to a designated location to place one of the IEDs.
On the way, the russian special service, remotely tracking their movements via GPS, activated the bomb in their bag.
In addition to the minors, two other bystanders were injured by the blast wave.
Simultaneously, the occupiers remotely blew up the second IED left in the rented flat.
SSU investigators have now prepared a notice of suspicion to be served to the 15-year-old under the Articles of the CCU:
- 27.5, 258.3 (aiding in a terrorist attack that resulted in the death of a person);
- 263-1.2 (illegal manufacture of explosives and explosive devices, upon prior conspiracy, by a group).
These crimes are punishable by life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The decision to qualify the actions of two 15-year-old girls who were together with the suspects during the preparation of the terrorist attack is pending.
The investigation is carried out by the SSU Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
The Security Service of Ukraine warns Ukrainians: russian intelligence services are using new tactics: they blow up their agents, use them unwittingly, and then get rid of them as unnecessary witnesses.
