SSU and National Police expose nine more organizers of mobilization evasion schemes, including owner of fake lyceum

The SSU and the National Police have blocked new schemes for evading mobilization in various regions of Ukraine and exposed 9 organizers.

In Vinnytsia, a local perpetrator was detained who fictitiously employed conscripts in his private non-existent lyceum.

In this way, he promised his clients a deferral from mobilization.

His accomplice, whom he appointed as director of the fake school, was also exposed.

In addition, the SSU uncovered a teacher at a local institute in the regional center, who earned money by illegally enrolling conscripts in higher education. His ‘students’ did not actually take entrance exams, and after enrollment, they did not attend classes.

In Dnipro, the SSU Military Counterintelligence detained a suspect red-handed offering mobilized soldiers money to desert their military unit.

To organize the escape, the perpetrator unsuccessfully attempted to bribe one of the officers of the secure facility, who was supposed to overlook those absent during the personnel check.

In Prykarpattia region, a lawyer was notified of suspicion for offering draft dodgers marriage to a person with a disability who requires care in exchange for money.

He also targeted the relatives of mobilized soldiers promising for bribes to transfer the servicemen to rear-area units.

In Kirovohrad region, two Telegram channel administrators were exposed while leaking the coordinates of the Military Recruitment Centers and urging citizens to dodge mobilization.

In addition, one of the bloggers was posting hostile slogans on their pages, calling for the overthrow of the constitutional order and the seizure of power in Ukraine.

In Sumy, two more perpetrators were served with notices of suspicion for disclosing locations on social media and encouraging others to bypass TCC and police checkpoints.

All those detained have been notified of suspicion, according to the offences committed, under several Articles of the CCU:

  • 114-1.1 (obstruction of the lawful activities of the AFU during a special period);
  • 109.2 (public calls for violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power);
  • 369.3 (offering, promising, or providing unlawful benefits to a public official);
  • 368.3 (acceptance of a proposal, promise or receipt of unlawful benefits by an official);
  • 369-2.3 (abuse of influence).

The suspects face up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The operational and investigative actions were carried out by the SSU Office in Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad and Sumy regions under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Offices.
