SSU and National Police detain Kyiv City State Administration official extorting kickback for educational equipment supply to Kyiv schools

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police and the Prosecutor’s Office, have exposed the director of one of the municipal enterprises of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) on bribery.

According to the investigation, the official demanded almost UAH 1.2 million from the contractor for signing a contract for the supply of educational equipment to schools in the capital.

The bribe amounted to 10% of the total contract amount, concluded in December 2025.

After the tender winner was determined, the head of the KCSA enterprise met with the business and demanded a kickback for the timely payment for the delivered equipment.

The law enforcement agencies documented the official’s criminal actions and detained him red-handed in Kyiv after he received the entire bribe.

The perpetrator has been notified of suspicion under Article 368.4 of the CCU (acceptance of a proposal, promise, or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official in an especially large amount).

The decision on a measure of restraint and removing him from office is pending. The suspect faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The investigation is ongoing to identify and bring to justice all those involved.

The operation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
