SSU and Prosecutor General’s Office declare son of kremlin ‘grey cardinal’ Patrushev suspect in absentia

The Security Service of Ukraine and the Office of the Prosecutor General have gathered evidence against Dmitry Patrushev, deputy prime minister of the russian federation, who organized the mass theft of grain from the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, since the start of the full-scale war russian officials have coordinated the removal of over 4 million tons of Ukrainian grain worth over UAH 23 bln (USD 546 mln) to the aggressor state.

This involved large-scale looting of agricultural enterprises in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

The enemy then sold the looted agricultural products through the russian ‘shadow fleet’ to countries in the Middle East and North Africa under the guise of russian goods.

Dmitry Patrushev is the son of kremlin ‘grey cardinal’ Nikolai Patrushev, who for a quarter of a century headed russia’s federal security service and then the russian security council and now holds the position of putin’s assistant.

According to available data, Patrushev senior lobbied for his son’s appointment as minister of agriculture and later as deputy prime minister of russia.

To organize the theft of Ukrainian grain, Dmitry Patrushev used the powers delegated to him as minister of agricultural policy of the aggressor state.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified Dmitry Patrushev of suspicion in absentia under Articles 28.2 and 438.1 of the CCU (war crimes, committed by a group, upon prior conspiracy).

As the perpetrator is in the aggressor state, efforts to bring him to justice are underway.
