The Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General’s Office have collected evidence against russian colonel-general Sergei Kuzovlev – the former commander of russia’s Southern military district, who organised the strike on Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region in June 2023.

At that time, the ruscists attacked the frontline town with two Iskander-K cruise missiles launched from the Rostov region.

As a result of the enemy attack, 13 civilians were killed and a further 56 sustained injuries of varying severity.

In addition, a restaurant was destroyed, and over 120 private homes, four educational establishments and more than ten vehicles were damaged.

The investigation revealed that the enemy had used information provided by a recruited local resident to carry out the strike.

Based on evidence collected by the SSU, the traitor has already been sentenced to life imprisonment and confiscation of property.

At present, Security Service investigators have notified russian general Kuzovlev in absentia of his status as a suspect under Article 438.2 of the CCU (violation of the laws and customs of war as provided for by international treaties, combined with intentional murder).

The investigation is ongoing to bring this war criminal to justice for crimes against our state.

The investigation was conducted by the SSU Office in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
