SSU strikes russian reserve’s Temp oil depot, over 700 km from Ukraine
Carrying out the tasks set by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the SSU Special Operations Centre Alfa successfully struck the russian reserve oil depot ‘Temp’ in the city of Rybinsk in the Yaroslavl oblast, russia. The distance from Ukraine’s state border to the target is over 700 kilometres.
The ‘Temp’ oil depot forms part of russia’s state material reserve system and is used to store petrol, diesel and other fuels and lubricants. The aggressor state uses it to supply petroleum products to its north-eastern regions and to maintain strategic fuel reserves for the army.
Following strikes by SSU drones, a large-scale fire broke out at the oil depot. At least three major fires have been recorded in the tank farm, which comprises over 60 storage tanks.
The enemy petroleum product depots, refineries and logistics infrastructure remain legitimate targets for the Security Service of Ukraine. These facilities supply the invading army with resources, enabling the kremlin to continue the war against Ukraine.
