Last night, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out further successful strikes against russia’s fuel and military infrastructure. These special operations are conducted to carry out tasks set by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy aimed at degrading the enemy’s military capabilities.

The SSU’s long-range drones struck the infrastructure of three oil refineries in the city of Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan, russia), located 1,600 km from Ukraine’s state border. These facilities are Bashneft-UNPZ, Bashneft-Novoyl and Bashneft-Ufanaftokhim, forming part of the Bashneft Group, one of russia’s largest oil refining clusters.

The combined capacity of these facilities exceeds 23 million tonnes of crude oil per year. Ufa is one of russia’s key oil refining centres, and the local refineries produce petrol, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, lubricants, and other products primarily used by the Russian army.

In addition, SSU drones struck three Podlyot-K1 radar stations and one Kasta-2E2 radar station in the Krasnodar krai. These stations are used by the enemy to detect aerial targets.

Oil refineries remain among the most important legitimate military targets on russian territory. It is these facilities that supply the russian army with fuel and also generate a significant portion of the revenue through which the kremlin finances its aggression. The Security Service will continue to systematically strike such targets, depriving the enemy of the resources needed to wage war.
