The SSU has opened two criminal proceedings over the strikes on the capital of Ukraine on October 17, 2022.

One of the proceedings pertains to the strike on a residential building, the other – to the attack on energy infrastructure facilities.

Both proceedings were opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of laws and customs of war.

The SSU is identifying all persons involved in the latest russian atrocity and is carrying out investigative and operational actions to bring the culprits to justice.

The investigation is conducted by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
