SSU opens criminal proceedings after strikes on dam in Dnipropetrovsk region and TPP in Kharkiv region (video)

The SSU has opened a criminal proceeding upon the fact of the enemy’s missile strike on the dam of the Karachuniv reservoir in Dnipropetrovsk region.

Earlier, the SSU initiated an investigation into the occupiers’ strike on a thermal power station in Kharkiv region.

Proceedings were opened under Article 438.2 of the CCU (violation of laws and customs of war).

SSU investigators are gathering evidence to hold the culprits to account, in particular, within the international justice. ‘After all, russia’s actions are nothing but a war crime,’ notes the Acting Head of the SSU Vasyl Maliuk.

‘The terrorist state is trying to create a humanitarian catastrophe and is once again showing the world its true essence. Unable to win on the battlefield, russia is desperate to attack civilian targets and critical infrastructure. The enemy vainly thinks that when Ukrainian rivers overflow their banks after the dams have been hit, it will help them. In fact, such actions cause only more rage and persistence of Ukrainians - and this wave will destroy only occupiers themselves,’ Vasyl Maliuk added.

By order of the Acting SSU Head, groups of experienced SSU investigators and experts have been sent to the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv region to document russia’s crimes. They are currently working in liberated towns and villages of the region.
