SSU exposes enemy’s arms caches in south and east of Ukraine

In Donetsk region and Kherson, the SSU exposed enemy’s arms caches. Almost 15 kg of explosives with detonators and anti-tank mines were among the seized.

In Donetsk region:

A cache of weapons was exposed in the forest near the energy facility that supplies electricity to Mariupol and several other localities.

Allegedly, in 2014, the cache was set up by IAF members of the so-called L/DNR to commit sabotage in the region.

The law enforcement seized:

  • Almost 15 kg of explosives in TNT equivalent,
  • 4 detonators,
  • 1 hand grenade launcher
  • 2 TM-62m anti-tank mines
  • 2 mortar mines of 120 caliber
  • 1 circular anti-personnel mine
  • More than 1 thousand rounds of 5.45 caliber

In Kherson:

SSU exposed arms cache on the outskirts of the regional center.

2 boxes of ammunition for small arms and 2 grenades with fuzes were among the seized.

The investigative actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of the illegal activities and to prosecute all persons involved in crimes against the state security of Ukraine.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Main Directorate in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, SSU Main Directorate in the AR of Crimea jointly with the National Police and the State Emergency Service.
