SBU detects new caches: one of them in "peaceful" region of Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine found two hidden arsenals of weapons in Luhansk and Rivne regions.

The cache near Sievierodonetsk was left by the so-called "LNR First Deputy Head of Government" in 2014. He is currently on the national wanted list for participating in a terrorist organization.

From the cache arranged in the underground storage of the former house of the leader of militants in Bobrove, the law enforcement seized:

  • RPG-18 anti-tank grenade "Mukha";
  • RPG-22 anti-tank grenade;
  • 20 RGD-5 grenades with fuses;
  • almost 4.5 thousand rounds of various calibers.
  • The detected munitions are sent for examination.

The SBU officers discovered another arms cache near the village of Rokytne, Sarny district, Rivne region.

From the mentioned cache law enforcement seized:

  • 6 RPG-22 anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades;
  • 22 RGD-5 and F-1 grenades with fuses;
  • 4 signal mines;
  • 5 triggering devices;
  • 17 signal cartridges;
  • over 200 rounds of 5.45 caliber.

Information on the entry sources of munitions, persons involved in the arrangement of the cache, and the purpose of possible use is currently being checked.

The discovered munitions are sent for examination.
