SBU exposed militants’ cache with improvised explosive device elements

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed another militants’ cache in Luhansk region near the Bilovodsk village, Starobilsk region. Exposed destruction means were intended for production of improvised explosive devices.

According to SBU information, the cache was arranged by sabotage and reconnaissance group participants, who performed in Luhansk region in 2014.

As a result of the bridge explosion in Evsuh village in 2014 two militants have died. The third one is continuing to commit subversive activities against Ukraine in the so-called MGB LNR militants’ special service.

Means of destruction that were found in the cache were intended for the production of improvised explosive device and committing the terrorist attack on the territory of Ukraine.

In general the SBU has seized the following:

  • 4 kg of TNT;
  • 14 F-1 and RGD-5 grenades;
  • 5 VOG-25 grenade launcher rounds;
  • 3 fuses;
  • 2 electric detonators;
  • almost 400 ammos of different caliber.

Earlier the SBU officers exposed a cache near the Parneve village in Starobilsk region with:

  • 2 F-1 grenades;
  • PG-7 antitank grenade;
  • 0,2 kg of gunpowder;
  • 3 SM-320 signal mines;
  • almost 400 of ammos.

The operation was conducted jointly with bomb experts from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Luhansk region.
