Luhansk region: SBU finds cache with grenade launchers and artillery shells

In Luhansk region, SBU officers found a cache with a large number of weapons.

The arsenal was located in an underground hiding place near residential buildings in the village of Kolyadivka, Novoaidar district. The operatives seized two RPG-22 grenade launchers, 66 artillery shells, eight antipersonnel grenades of various modifications, an TM-62 anti-tank mine (trotyl weight 7.5 kg) and more than 7,000 rounds of ammunition of various calibers.

Information on the involvement of pro-Russian IAF in the construction of the cache is being checked.

The seized weapons were handed over to a demining team for destruction.

The criminal proceedings were initiated upon the fact of unlawful handling of weapons, ammunition and explosives (Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal code of Ukraine).

The operation was conducted jointly with the National Police.
