SSU exposes 176 russian citizens who owned land near Kyiv: their plots returned to Ukraine’s ownership

Based on the material prepared by the Security Service, almost 100 hectares of agricultural land in Kyiv region, which was illegally owned by russian citizens, has been returned to state ownership.

This was achieved through checking the registers of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre (State GeoCadastre), which the SSU carried out as part of its systematic work to minimize the aggressor state’s influence on Ukraine’s economic independence.

As a result, the Security Service identified and confirmed the existence of land plots belonging to at least 176 residents of the aggressor state.

These are lands that russians acquired as inheritance before the start of the full-scale war.

According to the current legislation of our state, only citizens of Ukraine have the right to own agricultural land, while foreigners do not.

Therefore, agricultural land owned by foreign owners is subject to alienation to the State Geocadastre within a year.

Since this was not done by the relevant authority, the Security Service, together with the Prosecutor’s Office, took action to terminate the property rights of russian citizens to the identified plots.

In accordance with the procedure, the confiscated agricultural land has been transferred to the State Geocadastre.

The activities were carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
