SSU detains enemy agent hiding in Kyiv region after adjusting russia’s attacks near Pokrovsk
In Kyiv region, the SSU Counterintelligence has detained another enemy agent. The traitor was hiding after directing enemy fire on Ukrainian defenders in Donetsk region.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator is a 32-year-old miner from the temporarily occupied Novogrodivka, recruited by the russian intelligence.
The aggressor state recruited the man into their intelligence network through the banned social network Odnoklassniki. There, he was approached by a woman, a ‘liaison’ from russian military intelligence, who offered him cooperation in exchange for a virtual intimate relationship.
After agreeing to the ‘offer’, the asset began to track and transmit the locations of Ukraine’s Defence Forces in the city and its suburbs to the occupiers.
The ruscists used the intelligence to plan air strikes on the community with the aim of advancing on Pokrovsk direction.
After the capture of Novogrodivka, the agent moved to Kyiv region, hoping to lay low in order to later continue his intelligence and sabotage activities in russia’s interests.
The SSU established his location and detained him in a rented house.
A smartphone with evidence of his cooperation with the occupiers was seized during the search.
Security Service investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
