SSU exposes FSB agent plotting terrorist attacks against Ukrainian servicemen in Khmelnytskyi region
The Security Service thwarted attempts by ruscists to carry out a series of terrorist attacks in Khmelnytskyi. As a result of preemptive operations in the city, an FSB agent who was planning to blow up Defence Forces vehicles has been detained.
The investigation revealed that the perpetrator tracked the parking locations of Ukrainian soldiers’ vehicles, photographed these sites, and attempted to identify nearby surveillance cameras.
The enemy planned to use this intelligence to approach parking lots, plant IEDs in the military vehicles, and detonate them.
The SSU apprehended the agent ‘red-handed’ while she was conducting reconnaissance near a parking lot with vehicles belonging to Ukrainian defenders.
According to the SSU cyber units and investigators, a local resident recruited by russia’s federal security service was involved in planning the terrorist attacks. She came to the enemy’s attention when she posted pro-kremlin comments on Odnoklassniki.
The investigation also revealed that she was tracking the Defence Forces’ backup command posts and railway stations with military trains.
It was documented how the traitor recorded potential targets on camera while holding the phone to her ear, pretending to be on a phone call.
A smartphone containing evidence of her work for the aggressor state was seized from her during the search.
SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Khmelnytskyi region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
