SSU uncovers enemy agent who adjusted russian strikes on Kramatorsk
The SSU Counterintelligence has detained another enemy agent in Donetsk oblast – a 35-year-old saleswoman at a military store in Kramatorsk who adjusted russia’s attacks on the city.
To establish coordinates for attacks, the traitor tried to covertly use military personnel who visited the shop.
To do this, she established trusting relationships with them and then elicited the ‘necessary’ information during conversations.
In this way, the agent was to obtain data for the russians on deployment and strength of Defence Forces units near Kramatorsk.
Among other things, the perpetrator was trying to identify the coordinates of fortified areas, mobile checkpoints and combat positions of Ukrainian artillery.
The enemy accomplice also walked around the frontline area and marked the coordinates of Ukraine’s defenders on Google Maps. The occupiers used these data to prepare their attacks.
The SSU Counterintelligence exposed the agent and detained her. Her laptop and smartphone, which she used to coordinate her actions with the occupiers, were seized during the search.
According to the investigation, the saleswoman was recruited remotely through her acquaintance, a militant of the russian troops fighting against Ukraine on the eastern front.
SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
