SSU exposes russian agent who collected intelligence on targets for missile strikes on Kyiv
The SSU has detained a russian agent who was collecting information on locations of military equipment, checkpoints, critical infrastructure facilities, civilian and military facilities in the capital and the region.
According to preliminary information, the enemy planned to use this intelligence to carry out rocket attacks, as well as acts of sabotage in Kyiv.
According to the investigation, the 60-year-old citizen of Ukraine received instructions from her handlers in russia and passed to them photos and geolocation data of military facilities. For communication with her supervisors, she used messenger apps.
The detained agent has been notified of suspicion of crime under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason). The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
