Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed the management of the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Khmelnytskyi region on large-scale misappropriation of subordinate bonuses.

According to the pre-trial investigation, the scheme of unlawful enrichment was organized by the head of the regional division of the Pension Fund together with the chief accountant - the head of the financial and economic department. It was established that the officials issued bonuses to employees upon the condition that subordinates would return part of these funds in cash to the management.

As a result of the operation, only in last June and July, the management of the Main Department of the Fund misappropriated funds of subordinates for more than UAH 200 thousand.

During searches in the offices of the involved persons, law enforcement officers seized more than UAH 1 million in cash, allegedly obtained in illegal way.

The head of the Pension Fund of Khmelnytskyi region and the chief accountant were served suspicion notices under Part 3 Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

They were removed from office and taken into custody.

Investigative actions are continuing. All circumstances of the deal are established.

The operation was conducted jointly with National Police, under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office.
