The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the chief of the Flying Academy of the National Aviation University and the intermediary – the chief of Flying School of NAU FA on the bribe in the amount of USD 20000.

The officials demanded money from the director of one of the local private companies for the concluding an agreement on the cooperation with the Flying Academy. In case of refusal the chief of the NAU FA threatened to abolish the business of the entrepreneur.

The SBU detained the intermediary during the receiving of the bribe on the departure of Kropyvnytskyi. He planned to escape to Kyiv. Besides, the SBU also detained the chief of the Flying Academy, who was going to the meeting with the intermediary.

The officials are detained; the investigation is on-going in residences and offices of the participants. Soon they will be served the suspicion notice of taking a bribe.

The operation was conducted jointly with the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kirovohrad region under the procedural supervision of Kirovohrad Region Prosecutor’s Office.
