SSU exposes russian agent at Ukroboronprom and detains collaborators who gathered intelligence on Ukrainian positions (video)
Since the start of russia’s full-scale aggression, the SSU has exposed over 360 russian agents and over 5,000 collaborators. The report below includes details of our recent operations.
In Kyiv:
The SSU Counterintelligence with the assistance of Ukroboronprom security unit exposed an employee of one of the defence companies on campaigning to support the aggressor state. The individual publicly justified occupiers’ war crimes and called on his colleagues to support the enemy’s army.
The suspect repeatedly appealed to the russian president asking to grant him russian citizenship.
During the search of the agitator’s home, the law enforcement found data carriers with pro-kremlin propaganda, as well as design documentation for aircraft construction.
The individual has been notified of suspicion. The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of his subversive activities.
Following an investigation by the SSU, court sentenced a russian citizen, who called on Kyiv residents to cooperate with the enemy, to 5 years in prison.
The investigation established that the individual stayed in the capital using forged documents and coordinated his actions with one of the ruscist ideologists close to the kremlin.
In Donetsk region:
The SSU dismantled a russian agent network, which was gathering intelligence on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Eastern front.
One agent was detained in Slovyansk, where he was taking photos and videos of the movement of Ukrainian troops.
Another agent was exposed in Kramatorsk district. He collected intelligence and passed it on to the invaders through Telegram. His ‘liaison’ was his cousin, who is a russian citizen and a member of the ruscist occupation forces.
In Kharkiv:
The SSU exposed two former members of illegal armed groups of the temporarily occupied Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
One was detained during the operation. This is a former militia officer from the temporarily occupied Yenakiyevo, who in 2014 joined the ranks of the so-called ‘DNR police’. He later left the group and moved to Kharkiv, where was hiding from justice.
The second ex-militant turned out to be a convicted resident of the temporarily occupied town of Rovenky in Luhansk region. In 2015, terrorist leaders appointed him a machine gunner. But he soon fled to Ukraine-controlled territory.
In Luhansk region:
Following an investigation by the SSU, two unit commanders of the so-called LNR were sentenced to imprisonment. Being part of russian occupying forces, they participated in hostilities against Ukrainian troops.
Both individuals were taken prisoner during the enemy’s failed attack on Severodonetsk.
The court sentenced them to 8 and 10 years in prison, respectively.
The SSU will continue to expose and prosecute all participants and organizers of crimes against Ukraine’s state security.
