SSU uncovers russian weapons cache in frontline areas of Luhansk region

As a result of counter-sabotage activities in the frontline areas of Luhansk oblast, the SSU exposed another enemy cache with ammunition.

The seized items include an arsenal of russian combat grenades and Kalashnikov rifles.

The cache was discovered in a village in Svatove district, 3 km from the frontline.

According to intelligence, the site was set up by russian occupation forces before fleeing from Ukrainian counteroffensive.

The ammunition was hidden in a dilapidated building of an abandoned household. SSU officers seized:

  • RPG-22 anti-tank rocket launcher;
  • RGSh-1 anti-tank rocket launcher;
  • a Kalashnikov machine gun;
  • 4 Kalashnikov assault rifles;
  • 32 F-1 grenades;
  • 20 RGO grenades;
  • 4 boxes of ammunition of various calibres (over 4,000 rounds).

The munitions have been handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The counter-sabotage activities were carried out by the SSU Offices in Donetsk and Luhansk regions jointly with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Police.
