SSU exposes another 12 russian Internet agitators, including those calling for Kadyrov monuments in Ukraine
The SSU has neutralized another 12 pro-russian agitators who spread anti-Ukrainian content on the Internet.
In Poltava region:
Following the SSU’s investigation, two enemy propagandists are facing 8 years in prison.
One of them is an employee of a local critical infrastructure enterprise who glorified the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The other suspect ‘promoted’ the idea of erecting monuments to Kadyrov in Ukrainian cities.
In Dnipropetrovsk region:
The SSU exposed a former local businessman who glorified PMC Wagner militants and justified their participation in storming cities in eastern Ukraine.
He spread destructive narratives on the Internet and in conversations within his community.
In Donetsk region:
An entire ‘cell’ of pro-russian Internet agitators was shut down. It included 4 locals who praised militants of the terrorist organizations ‘L/DNR’.
In Kirovohrad region:
A resident of Onufriyevka district was detained. In his posts on Odnoklassniki social network, he called Kherson’s de-occupation ‘unlawful’.
In Chernihiv region:
Another two enemy agitators were served notices of suspicion. They posted propaganda messages on their social media accounts, which were picked up by russian online groups for informational subversive activities.
It was established that the son of one of these suspects is a russian military serviceman, with whom she was in constant contact.
In Rivne region:
The law enforcement agencies documented unlawful activities of two russian citizens with permanent residence permits in Ukraine.
In banned social media, they discredited Ukrainian defenders and approved crimes of russian occupiers from Buryatia against the civilian population in Ukraine.
The investigations are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the offences and bring perpetrators to justice.
The SSU Offices in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Poltava, Rivne, Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the operational and investigative activities jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
