SSU exposes another four enemy collaborators connecting ruscists to Starlink
The Security Service of Ukraine has thwarted attempts by russian armed groupings to register new Starlink satellite terminals.
Following operations in several regions of Ukraine, four enemy agents, who were illegally verifying internet communication stations, have been detained.
The investigation revealed that the perpetrators had been recruited remotely by the enemy while seeking ‘easy’ money on Telegram channels.
In the Khmelnytskyi region, the SSU Counterintelligence detained a conscript who had deserted his military unit. Acting on russia’s orders, he had registered ten satellite terminals.
While in hiding in Kamianets-Podilskyi, he sold the details he had obtained to a russian intelligence operative in order to activate the terminals.
The deserter initially registered the devices in his own name and then tricked his acquaintances into registering the internet stations.
It has also been documented that the suspect collected the coordinates of Defence Forces installations for his russian handler, who used them to prepare air strikes.
In Zaporizhzhia, a local man who was out of work was caught in the act of activating Starlink terminals for the russians in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
To verify the terminals, the perpetrator involved acquaintances, offering them money without disclosing the client’s identity.
The SSU detained the agent near a post office where he was attempting to register another Starlink device for the enemy.
In the Mykolaiv region, two residents of the regional centre were exposed simultaneously, one of whom had previously been convicted of robbery.
They used the details of front men to register satellite terminals via postal operators’ services. In this way, they activated more than ten devices for the aggressor state.
The Security Service of Ukraine has now blocked all the terminals registered by the perpetrators for the russian armed groupings.
SSU investigators have notified all the detainees of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspects are in custody and face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in the Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi and Mykolaiv regions under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Offices.
