SSU exposes another 4 pro-russian agitators, including hacker who faked ‘video messages’ of AFU commanders

The SSU has detained another four pro-russian agitators in several regions of Ukraine.

The perpetrators publicly praised putin and justified russia’s armed aggression. They also called for seizure of power in our country and glorified russia’s war crimes.

In Vinnytsia region:

a local hacker has been detained; he used software to create a fake video message from a former high-ranking official of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and disseminate it on TikTok.

The ‘speech’ contained provocative calls for a forceful seizure of Ukrainian government buildings and mass riots in Kyiv.

In this way, the perpetrator intended to undermine the socio-political situation in the country.

In Kyiv region:

a former member of Fastiv Town Council from the banned opposition platform – for life party has been detained.

The perpetrator positioned himself as an ‘expert political analyst’ and published kremlin narratives on the aggressive war against Ukraine in his video blog.

He used putin’s quotes from russian TV broadcasts to support his statements.

To spread enemy content, the agitator used his YouTube channel, as well as pages on Telegram, TikTok and Instagram with a total audience of more than half a million subscribers.

In Prykarpattia region:

The SSU’s cyber units have exposed a supporter of Leonid Slutsky, a member of russian state duma and head of the pro-kremlin LDPR party.

The man posted on his Odnoklassniki page public statements of the russian official in support of the aggressive war against Ukraine.

Among the ‘quotes’ were Slutsky’s calls for a repeated offensive on Kherson and seizure of Ukraine’s entire territory.

In Donetsk region:

The SSU’s cyber units detained a resident of Kramatorsk, an ideological supporter of ruscism.

In russian social networks, the suspect justified the seizure of part of Ukraine’s eastern regions and glorified russian occupiers.

SSU investigators have now served the persons involved notices of suspicion under Articles 436-2.2, 436-2.3 of the CCU (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The criminal actions of the agitator from Vinnytsia region are additionally qualified under Article 109 of the CCU (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power).

The operation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region, Ivano-Frankivsk, Donetsk, Luhansk and Vinnytsia regions under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
