SSU exposed another 7 russian online agents: one of them urged to shell the government district in Kyiv

The Security Service of Ukraine detained another seven pro-Kremlin online agitators in different regions of Ukraine. The perpetrators justified russian armed aggression, called for seizure of power and change of Ukraine’s state borders.

For instance, in Vinnytsia region, a female propagandist denying the full-scale invasion of ruscists and promoting the Kremlin’s narrative of an ‘internal civil conflict’ in Ukraine was exposed.

To spread hostile propaganda, the suspect used her own TikTok account, which had more than 66,000 followers.

Furthermore, in her posts, the perpetrator urged citizens to support the enemy in the war against our state.

In Poltava region, another five supporters of racism were detained for spreading Kremlin propaganda in Facebook and Telegram channels.

Among them was a businesswoman from Kremenchuk region who called on ruscists to strike the capital’s government district with missiles.

Additionally, the enemy's accomplice encouraged citizens to seize state institutions and overthrow the constitutional order in Ukraine.

Also, three Kremenchuk residents were exposed, one of whom was spreading fake news about the Defence Forces and the operational situation on the front line.

Other individuals were spreading provocative narratives to destabilise the internal situation in Ukraine in favour of russia.

Another russian online agent – a resident of the Poltava region, who justified the occupation of our country's territory on Facebook and called for the complete occupation of Ukraine.

In Kherson, SSU cyber experts detained a local resident who, via Telegram, was agitating city residents to support russian armed groups and to ‘join’ the region to the aggressor state.

To conceal his crimes, the perpetrator used fake accounts under various pseudonyms.

Forensic linguistic examinations initiated by the Security Service confirmed the facts of the suspects’ subversive information activities in favour of russia.

They have now been served with notices of suspicion in relation to the offences committed under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • Article 109.2, 109.3 (distribution of materials calling for the seizure of state power, committed repeatedly);
  • Article 110.1 (encroachment upon the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);
  • Article 436-2.2, 436-2.3 (justifying, recognising as lawful, or denying the russian armed aggression against Ukraine, and glorifying its participants).

The perpetrators face up to 8 years’ imprisonment with property confiscation.

Comprehensive operations were carried out by SSU officers in the Poltava, Vinnytsia and Kherson regions under the procedural supervision of the regional public prosecutors’ offices.
