SSU exposes FSB mole in Armed Forces directing russian strikes on Dnipropetrovsk region

The SSU Counterintelligence, in cooperation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has detained another enemy agent in the army ranks. He turned out to be a mobilised soldier from Dnipro who guided the aggressor’s air strikes on the region.

The perpetrator was recruited by an FSB employee in the autumn of 2025. He came to the occupiers’ attention after posting pro-kremlin comments on Telegram channels.

After recruitment, the man joined a rear military unit in the region to spy on russia’s behalf.

On the instructions of russia’s federal security service, the traitor was to pass to the ruscists the coordinates of the AFU and the National Guard’s temporary bases, which the aggressor was using to prepare missile and drone attacks.

To do this, the mole filmed the military facilities and marked their geolocations.

Having fulfilled his task, the serviceman deserted his unit and leaked its coordinates to the FSB.

The SSU Counterintelligence identified the enemy accomplice and documented his crime. Simultaneously, action was taken to protect the locations of the Defence Forces.

In the final stage of the operation, the suspect was detained at his relatives’ home, where he was hiding from justice.

A smartphone with evidence of his work for russia was seized during the search.

SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU – high treason, committed under martial law.

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
