SSU exposes another three enemy Internet agents in Ukraine’s three regions
The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another three pro-kremlin agitators who justified russia’s war crimes and called for the capture of all of Ukraine.
In Cherkasy, a local doctor has been exposed for supporting the temporary occupation of the eastern regions of our state on his Facebook page. The perpetrator also spoke out in support of russian air strikes on civilian infrastructure in the regional center.
For example, he justified the russian missile attack on a hotel in downtown Cherkasy on 21 September 2023, when civilians were seriously injured and the building itself was almost completely destroyed.
Another enemy agitator was also uncovered in the regional centre. She praised ruscism and the occupation of Crimea. The woman was disseminating kremlin propaganda among her colleagues at a local factory.
A 29-year-old draft evader was detained in Kharkiv region. He wrote pro-russian comments from an ‘anonymous’ account on Telegram channels while hiding from mobilization.
In these posts, he called for a new series of massive missile and drone attacks on Kyiv and the physical elimination of the Ukrainian Defence Forces command.
Smartphones and computer equipment, which the agitators used to spread pro-kremlin propaganda, were seized during the searches.
A linguistic examination initiated by the Security Service confirmed the facts of their subversive activities against Ukraine.
SSU investigators have notified the perpetrators of suspicion under the Articles of the CCU, according to the offences committed:
- 109.2, 109.3 (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power);
- parts 1, 2, and 3 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The suspects face up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in Cherkasy and Kharkiv regions under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Offices.
