The Security Service of Ukraine has detained three more individuals who assisted the enemy in the war against Ukraine. Two of them were working with ruscists in the temporarily occupied southern part of Ukraine, while the third was financing russia’s armed aggression in the west of the country.

In the Lviv region, a resident of Staryi Sambir is set to stand trial. Since 2006, she has headed a company that operates in ecology and hydrometeorology and produces documentation on the reclamation of landfill sites in russia.

Following the start of war, it has been established that the woman not only failed to stop her business dealings with the aggressor state, but increased their profitability.

Between 2023 and 2026, the company fulfilled orders for russia and paid over UAH 2.2 million (USD 49,000) to the russian budget in taxes.

In Zaporizhzhia, the SSU exposed a collaborator from the temporarily occupied town of Energodar. Between 2023 and 2024, she was a member of the local ‘electoral commission’ set up by russia its sham referendum and ‘elections’.

To secure the required number of ‘votes’, the suspect went door-to-door among local residents with ballot papers, accompanied by russian military personnel.

The SSU detained the suspect while she was travelling through Ukraine en route to a European Union country where her son lives.

In Kherson, a collaborator has been identified who headed the regional library seized by the russians during the temporary occupation of the port city in 2022.

He took part in propaganda events organised by the russian occupation administration in support of the kremlin regime in this ‘position’.

The perpetrator also gave an interview to the moscow-controlled television channel Tavria, during which he spread disinformation about the Defence Forces and called for russia to occupy Ukraine completely.

Following the liberation of Kherson, the suspect remained in the city, attempting to lay low while awaiting the arrival of russian troops.

SSU investigators have notified the individuals involved of their status as suspects under several Articles of the CCU:

• 111-1.4, 111-1.6 (collaboration);
• 28.2, 111-1.5 (collaboration, committed by a group, by prior conspiracy);
• 436-2.3 (justifying, legitimising or denying russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and glorifying its participants).

The suspects face up to 12 years’ imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Lviv regions under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Offices.
