SSU detains aggressor’s informant in Kryvyi Rih on passing flight directions of Ukrainian combat aircraft to enemy
The SSU has exposed another informant who collected information on movement of Ukraine’s Defence Forces and consequences of enemy strikes on Dnipropetrovsk region.
The spy recorded flight directions of the AFU’s combat aircraft and helicopters going on missions to the frontline.
The intelligence was transmitted via Vkontakte social network in the form of photos with coordinates.
According to the investigation, the ruscists’ accomplice is a resident of Kryvyi Rih who, after 24 February 2022, began collecting and passing information on deployment of the Defence Forces.
He approached an acquaintance of his from Krasnodar, russia, who is in contact with the russian intelligence services.
It was through her that information on routes of movement of Ukrainian military equipment and consequences of russia’s air attacks could reach the occupiers.
During the search of the suspect’s home, the SSU seized computer equipment, used in the sabotage activity against Ukraine, and prohibited communist symbols.
Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:
- 114-2.2 (unauthorized dissemination of information on shipment, transfer of weapons, armaments and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU);
- 436-1.1 (production, distribution of communist and nazi symbols, propaganda of communist and national socialist totalitarian regimes).
The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
