SSU exposes former Ukrzaliznytsia officials in Lyman who repaired russian military trains

As a result of stabilization efforts in the liberated areas of Donetsk oblast, the SSU exposed another two enemy accomplices.

The offenders are two former officials of the local Ukrzaliznytsia branch, who supported russian invaders after the start of the full-scale invasion.

During the temporary occupation of Lyman, they voluntarily collaborated with the aggressor and were appointed to the occupation administration.

One of the collaborators headed the railroad electromechanical workshops in the ‘DNR railway infrastructure directorate’ created by the enemy.

The other became his subordinate and worked as the ‘chief engineer’.

Together, they ensured operability of the railway facilities for transportation of personnel, weapons and ammunition of the occupation troops to the eastern front.

For example, they coordinated the work of railroad workshops to restore power substations on the railway in the captured areas of Volnovakha and Ilovaysk.

After Lyman’s liberation, the collaborators tried to ‘lay low’ and hide from justice.

However, the SSU found and detained them.

SSU investigators have notified both detainees of suspicion of collaboration (Article 111-1.4 of the CCU).

The court chose custody as a measure of restraint.

The investigation is ongoing.

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the operation under the supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
