SSU exposes yet another enemy agent in Odesa registering Starlink terminals for ruscists
The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another enemy agent in Odesa. Acting on russia’s orders, he registered Starlink satellite terminals for armed units of the aggressor state.
The perpetrator turned out to be a local resident, a loader, recruited by the enemy. He came to the attention of the russian intelligence while seeking ‘easy money’ on Telegram.
Having been promised ‘quick cash’, the suspect first registered the Starlink in his name and passed the relevant details to his handler in russia.
Subsequently, he received instructions from his handler to recruit as many people as possible to illegally verify new terminals.
Under false pretences, the asset enlisted at least 12 acquaintances to register Starlink accounts.
The SSU documented the suspect’s unlawful activities and detained him at his home.
All satellite communication systems previously registered by him were blocked.
Mobile phones, which he had used to contact the enemy, were seized during the search of the detainee’s premises.
Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators notified the individual in question of suspicion under Articles 28.2, 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed by a group, acting in concert, under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Odesa Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
