SSU exposes traitors who guided russia’s Iskander missiles at Hroza village in Kharkiv region (video)
In hot pursuit, the SSU has identified two traitors who adjusted a russian missile strike on a cafe in the village of Hroza in Kharkiv region on 5 October.
The perpetrators are two locals: 30-year-old Volodymyr Mamon and his younger brother, 23-year-old Dmytro Mamon, who sided with the ruscists when the area was under occupation.
For this, they received ‘positions’ in the ranks of the occupation ‘interior ministry directorate of the military-civilian administration of Kharkiv oblast’. One was appointed a ‘convoy group driver’, the other - a ‘road patrol service inspector’.
Just before the liberation of the region, both traitors and their families fled to russia, where continued to work for the aggressor state.
On the occupiers’ instructions, they began to remotely form a network of informants in Ukraine-controlled territory.
To do this, they involved their relatives, neighbours and acquaintances from the de-occupied settlements of Kharkiv region, trying to make them unwittingly provide information.
During seemingly friendly conversations and messaging, the enemy accomplices asked people about Ukraine’s Defence Forces and mass events in the region.
According to the investigation, in early October both brothers began collecting information on the planned reburial of a Ukrainian military serviceman in the village. They also understood that civilians – people they knew in Hroza, including those providing intelligence to them – would be killed as a result of the enemy attack.
Having found out the address and time of the peaceful event, Volodymyr Mamon passed the data to the occupiers.
The ruscists used the information to launch a targeted strike on the Ukrainian village using Iskander M tactical missile system.
As a result, 53 civilians were killed, including a young child. Another six civilians were injured.
Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators notified both betrayers of suspicion under Articles 28.2, 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law by a group of persons upon prior conspiracy).
Volodymyr Mamon’s criminal actions are additionally qualified under Articles 27.5, 28.2, 438.2 of the CCU (aiding the violations of laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder committed by a group upon prior conspiracy).
Both suspects are hiding in russia; efforts to bring them to justice are underway.
The investigation is carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
