SSU, with assistance of Energoatom leadership, detains company’s official on bribery
The SSU has exposed the Director of Control and Audit of this enterprise on corruption.
According to the investigation, the company official demanded kickbacks from suppliers of goods and services for the state enterprise.
The investigators documented that he promised suppliers an accelerated payment for the contract in exchange for a 15 per cent ‘cut’ in the contract amount.
The perpetrator was detained ‘red-handed’ when he received UAH 100,000 (USD 2,400) from a supplier of fuels and lubricants that provides these to a state-owned uranium mining company.
The SSU has served the apprehended individual a notice of suspicion under Article 369-2.3 of the CCU (trading in influence).
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
