SBU blocks activity of illegal Russian financial project Just2Trade

The SBU blocked an illegal scheme organized by a Russian holding company in our country. The offenders illegally misappropriated millions of hryvnias from Ukrainian investors through a fake international broker Just2Trade.

The SBU officers established that the scam was organized by a Russian citizen with the participation of Ukrainians. The offenders offered online services to investors in the stock market. It is documented that the companies that created the "financial product" did not receive any licenses and permits from the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.

The offenders used special software to simulate streaming of electronic trading on international exchanges. They created a "personal account" for a client, demonstrating constant growth of shares in the price, and offered to increase investment. After a depositor decided to withdraw money, the criminals disconnected.

During authorized searches, law enforcement officers seized computer media and documents proving the illegal activity in the interests of the aggressor country.

The operation was conducted by officers of the SBU Main Directorate of Counterintelligence Protection of the State's Interests in the Sphere of Economic Security jointly with investigators of the Desnianskyi Police Office of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv under the supervision of the Desnianskyi District Prosecutor's Office.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
