The Security Service of Ukraine has documented a large embezzlement of public funds by officials of the Kyivavtodor. According to available information, only one of its procurements caused losses to the capital budget of over UAH 20 ml.

The operatives of the special service established that in October-November 2020, Kyivavtodor purchased all-season vehicles for summer and winter road maintenance. Based on the results of the tenders, the company entered into agreements with its subordinated commercial entity. The subject of the contract is the supply of 24 road-building vehicles for the total amount of UAH 141 ml.

According to preliminary estimates, the procurement was made at significantly inflated prices. In this way, only with this purchase Kyivavtodor caused losses to the capital budget by more than UAH 20 ml.

Within the framework of initiated criminal proceedings, a number of searches were conducted in the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration, Kyivavtodor, in the offices of commercial entities and at the places of actual residence of the case participants.

Financial documents, electronic media confirming illegal activities were seized.

Measures to expose the scheme are carried out jointly with the State Bureau of Investigation and under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.

Investigative actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of public funds embezzlement.
