Remain Vigilant and Follow Safety Guidelines During Easter (Video)

The Security Service of Ukraine reports ongoing attempts by the enemy to destabilise the situation within the country, particularly ahead of and during major religious holidays such as Easter. Despite statements from the aggressor state about a so-called ‘ceasefire’, enemy intelligence services continue their hostile activities against Ukraine, including information and psychological operations, provocations, terrorist acts, and sabotage.

The SSU is systematically taking preventive measures and successfully thwarting most such threats.

The Security Service regularly exposes enemy agents attempting to artificially incite conflicts among representatives of different denominations and religious communities.

At the same time, the SSU Counterintelligence units are uncovering enemy efforts to recruit Ukrainians to plot terrorist attacks and coordinate airstrikes against civilian infrastructure.

The occupiers primarily target sites with large gatherings of people, regardless of the purpose or location of such civilian facilities.

SSU personnel, together with other law enforcement agencies, are working around the clock under heightened alert and continuously countering threats. However, the vigilance and awareness of every citizen remain essential components of security.

During the Easter period, the SSU urges citizens to:

  • remain especially vigilant in crowded places;
  • avoid responding to provocations or incitement to unlawful actions;
  • report suspicious objects or individuals who may be staging provocations or posing a potential threat to law enforcement authorities;
  • inform authorities of any contact with individuals offering ‘easy money’;
  • promptly respond to air raid sirens and take shelter;
  • assist others when necessary;
  • comply with the established curfew and other security measures.

We remind you that the SSU operates a dedicated 24/7 hotline: 1516.
